Celia (Wen Chin) Hu
Lawyer/Co-Founding Partner
Celia is a licensed family lawyer and a co-founding partner of JDC Law LLP. She became interested in family law after volunteering with the Family Law Project, during which she successfully assisted self-represented parties in the family law court. Celia gained further family law experience during her articling term with an experienced lawyer in Toronto when she provided excellent service to clients in both family law and wills and estates.
Separation from a spouse can be a very stressful time that leaves a lasting impact on a person’s life. Celia strives to minimize the pain of a separation by using her skills and experience to guide her clients and advocate their interests through the legal process. Celia hopes to build a relationship of trust with each client by being committed and understanding, and to help her clients find ways to rebuild their life after separation.
In addition to her passion for family law, Celia’s strong writing skills, which she has honed over the years at Queen’s University and Osgoode Hall Law School, allow her to be an effective advocate for her client’s positions.
Interesting Facts: Celia was fascinated by ghost stories as a child and grew to become a big fan of the horror movie genre. She loves horror-themed escape rooms and playing horror virtual reality games. She is, however, terrified of roller coasters.
